There is a short window of opportunity for his successor to spend a few days working alongside Chris, but he will always remain a professional resource as needed. Being an almost 60-year-old golf course, the property has its challenges but also has immense opportunities. The position is available immediately but fully understand the need to provide ample notice to current employer. |

Possess a strong understanding of Mid-Atlantic, transition zone, climate and its effect on Perennial Ryegrass
Track record of maintaining & improving course conditions
Focused on details i.e. “low-hanging fruit” in pursuit of perpetual improvement
Understand the balance between fast greens and healthy turf and knowing which is more important
Employs turf-grass management best practices
Excellent irrigation management skills, both irrigation philosophy and maintenance of the system
Strong understanding of soil science
Strong tree management program
Knowledgeable with golf course maintenance equipment upkeep, repair and replacement

A degree in turf management or related field of study is required.
