Golf Course Superintendent
Job Details
- Lead all daily golf course maintenance operations, ensuring high standards of turf quality, playability, and safety across all 18 holes, practice areas, and grounds.

Supervise, train, and schedule approximately 10 full‑time and part‑time maintenance employees, providing hands‑on leadership and fostering a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.

Develop and implement comprehensive pesticide and fertilizer programs that support turf health, playability, and environmental compliance.

Maintain full compliance with Vermont state requirements for pesticide storage, handling, and recordkeeping.

Collaborate closely with the equipment mechanic to ensure all turf equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and operating safely.

Manage the golf course irrigation system, including daily operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and water‑use efficiency strategies.

Oversee daily course setup, including mowing, hole locations, tee markers, bunker maintenance, and other tasks required to maintain tournament‑quality playing conditions.

Lead and participate in course improvement projects, renovations, and enhancements designed to elevate course conditions and the overall player experience.

Plan and execute on‑course setup for tournaments and special events, coordinating with golf operations staff to ensure professional presentation and smooth event execution.

The current Superintendent will remain on staff and provide ongoing hands‑on support with key agronomic functions, including pesticide applications, irrigation system operation and troubleshooting, and other specialized turf management tasks.

Job Requirements
-Knowledge of agronomic practices
-Direct Experience with irrigation repair and operation
-Experience with maintaining and repairing turfgrass equipment including reel mowers.
-GCSAA membership
-Degree in Turf, Agronomy, or related field
