Job Details
The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the greens, trees, landscaping, and plant life throughout the assigned golf course. Working closely with the maintenance team, the Superintendent ensures all fertilizers and pesticides are applied in full compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. This role maintains accurate records and communicates effectively with managers, members, and guests regarding course conditions, maintenance activities, and safety standards.

Job Requirements
GCSAA Certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Two-year degree required (four-year degree preferred) in turf management, agronomy, chemical applications, soils, fertilization, or related field.
Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervise course construction projects and oversee planting and care of turf, plants, shrubs, and trees.
Work closely with the Operations Team to develop and propose the annual maintenance plan and budget; implement and adhere to the approved plan.
Direct and supervise maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, water features, roughs, maintenance shop and grounds, cart maintenance, and clubhouse maintenance.
Create and lead a high-performance team while maintaining a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
Recruit, train, develop, and manage staff; ensure co-worker satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
Identify and address safety concerns immediately.
Conduct monthly safety meetings and training sessions; record attendance and complete safety audits.
Establish and implement maintenance programs for equipment, tools, vehicles, and related assets.
Manage purchase ordering, receiving, and inventory to ensure proper quantities and pricing.
Maintain accurate records for labor costs, maintenance expenses, construction projects, equipment repair, OSHA compliance, and all fertilizer, chemical, and pest-control activities.
Plan and implement staffing schedules to ensure quality and service standards are met.
Supervise and perform equipment repair and maintenance.
Participate in weekly Department Head meetings.
Oversee irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Assist in maintaining security of golf course property and buildings.
Maintain course character consistent with the rules of golf and established maintenance expectations.
Solve technical turf and maintenance challenges effectively.
Identify, implement, and approve capital improvements.
Maintain golf course grounds in an environmentally sensitive manner.
Promote and comply with all current and future company and course policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
