Golf Course Superintendent

In addition to golf, we have nine tennis courts, six pickleball courts, three bocce courts, three padel courts, and 18,000 square feet of award-winning fitness and spa facilities. Throughout the 60,000+ square foot clubhouse, we offer world-class dining along with catering and events, to serve our exceptional Membership year-round.

Quail Creek is a very active golf club with an increase of members playing all year round.  The (2) superintendents will work together while each managing a golf course under the supervision of the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds.  He/She will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a maintenance program for a golf course.  The Golf Course Superintendent should be adept at simultaneously managing multiple projects and tasks, with strong attention to detail, as well as a team player, working in collaboration with the leadership team, the Board and Club Committees. The position requires a high level of competency and the ability to keep workflow consistent and on time. The position, in partnership with the QCCC leadership team, requires innovative spirit and drive, highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong organizational skills.

This position is for the Quail Course which begins a $13 million renovation this summer with a ryegrass overseed.  The construction will begin April 1, 2027. The Ron Forse design will include new green, tee, and bunker complexes, new Toro irrigation system, and improved water and land features. We will grass greens with Tiff Eagle Bermuda and use Bimini Bermuda everywhere else. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the golf course and property
• Work together with other course superintendent in supervising, scheduling, training, overseeing maintenance team members including: assistant superintendents, irrigation techs, spray techs, horticulturist, equipment operators
• Create an efficient team and efficient maintenance practices to continually improve playing conditions and work force
• Improve course details
• Use tools given to train and enforce safety practices
• Keep detailed records of daily tasks and chemical/fert applications
• Carry out the goals set forth by the club and Director of Golf Courses and Grounds
• Employee management- hiring, firing, performing employee annual reviews
• Perform other duties as directed by Director of Golf Courses & Grounds
