Job Details
The Golf Course Superintendent is entrusted with the day-to-day maintenance and agronomic management of one of Bear Lakes Country Club's two championship golf courses.
The Superintendent will take ownership of the assigned golf course, developing an intimate understanding of its agronomic needs, architecture, playing characteristics and opportunities for continued improvement.
This position combines hands-on golf course management with significant leadership responsibility and requires an individual capable of translating agronomic objectives and established standards into exceptional daily execution.

Job Requirements
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing golf course maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, fertility, pest management, irrigation, moisture management, cultural practices and plant health.
• A thorough understanding of the game of golf and golf course playability.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Candidates currently serving in senior assistant leadership positions who have demonstrated exceptional performance and are prepared to advance into a Golf Course Superintendent position are strongly encouraged to apply.
• A Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture or a related field is preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• State of Florida Commercial Applicator License in Ornamental and Turf, or the ability to obtain the license within six months of employment. GCSAA/PBGCSA membership and a valid driver's license with a good driving record are required.
Salary Range
From $90 to $110 per year
