The Greenskeeper I / Grounds Crew member is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with the daily maintenance and care of the golf course and surrounding grounds. Under direct supervision, this role supports high-quality playing conditions through routine turf care, landscaping, bunker maintenance, course setup, and safe equipment operation. No prior golf course experience is required in many cases; on-the-job training is provided

Experience Requirements
No prior experience is required for this position, as comprehensive on-site training will be provided covering equipment operation, turf care techniques, safety procedures, and golf course standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory, and candidates should possess a strong work ethic, reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions while working independently or as part of a team. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for operating vehicles and equipment. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with early morning starts and availability for weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours. Safety training and personal protective equipment are supplied as part of the on-site training program.
