Hazeltine National Golf Club – 2027 Turfgrass Internship
Job Details
Hazeltine National Golf Club is seeking passionate future turfgrass professionals for our 2027 internship program. Hazeltine has a proud history of hosting major championships, most recently the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. We are also honored to be the future site of the 2029 Ryder Cup.
Our program aims to offer a comprehensive and rewarding turfgrass and personnel management experience at one of the country’s premier championship venues.
We are dedicated to designing an internship that meets the needs and goals of each individual. During a season at Hazeltine, you will be exposed to every aspect of golf course operations, including daily planning, personnel management, equipment maintenance, data collection, construction and project work, and championship-level bentgrass playing surface management.
Interns can expect hands-on experience with:
- Daily course setup and maintenance
- Irrigation, hand watering, fertility, and plant protection
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Agronomy and data collection
- Construction and improvement projects
- Morning meetings, daily planning, and personnel management
- Leadership opportunities as experience and confidence grow
Following the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, 2027 will represent an important year in Hazeltine’s continued preparation for the 2029 Ryder Cup. Interns will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the planning, projects, infrastructure improvements, and daily maintenance practices that support a championship golf course between major events.
In 2025, Hazeltine opened Aerie, our 10-hole short course featuring approximately 100,000 square feet of bentgrass putting surfaces and six acres of bentgrass tees and fairways. Aerie provides another dynamic environment for interns to develop their skills and gain exposure to the management of a unique golf experience.
Our goal is to give you the tools, confidence, experience, and professional foundation needed to succeed in the golf industry. We take pride in developing the next generation of turfgrass professionals and are committed to making your time at Hazeltine a meaningful and impactful step in your career journey.
All we ask is that you bring passion, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
We are currently seeking interns for both full-season and summer internships. Positions are available from April through November, with flexibility based on your academic schedule.
