Essential Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance: Diagnose, service, and repair a premium fleet of commercial turf machinery, focusing heavily on Toro and Jacobsen mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
- Precision Reel Grinding: Utilize dedicated grinding equipment to sharpen, backlap, and set heights-of-cut on reel mowers to deliver a flawless, tournament-quality cut.
- Preventative Programs: Establish and track a strict preventative maintenance schedule to minimize course downtime during the peak golf season.
- Budget & Inventory: Order parts, manage vendor relationships, maintain optimal inventory levels, and control shop expenditures under the superintendent's guidance.
- Winter Overhauls: Maximize the off-season by completely dismantling, inspecting, and rebuilding cutting units and major equipment systems.
- Safety & Training: Train golf course operators on daily check procedures, safe equipment operation, and proper washing techniques to prevent cross-contamination.

Educational Requirements
Qualifications & Skills (Paid Training Available)
• Experience: 3+ years of mechanical experience, specifically troubleshooting and repairing commercial golf course turf equipment.
• Brand Expertise: Deep familiarity with the hydraulic, electrical, and cutting systems specific to Toro and Jacobsen commercial lines.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced troubleshooting skills in internal combustion engines (gas and diesel), heavy-duty hydraulic systems, and complex 12V electrical systems.
• Tools & Fabrication: Must own a comprehensive set of mechanical hand tools. Basic welding and steel fabrication skills are highly preferred.
• Licensing: Valid U.S. driver's license required.
