Head Golf Course Superintendent

Crosswinds Golf Club located in Savannah, Ga is a 27-hole facility consisting of a 18- hole Championship course and a 9-hole Par 3 course. We are a busy public golf course that does around 60,000 rds per year on all 27 holes. We also have a newly renovated Toptracer Driving Range that open Fall of 2024. Crosswinds Golf Club has been owned and managed by Gallea Golf Properties LLC since March 2010.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily opening and closing of the maintenance facility and all associated opening and closing procedures.
• Manage the daily setup and maintenance of the golf course.
• Ensure that that all equipment is running and being serviced properly on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
• Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and annual applications of chemicals, fertilizers and fungicides. 
• Required to keep active Chemical Spray License.
• Manage all assistant superintendents and any hourly maintenance workers on a daily basis.
• Ensure that payroll stays within the designated payroll budget throughout the year.
• Report any issues to the General Manager.
• Ensure that all consumable items are ordered when necessary using proper PO procedure.
• Ensure that all maintenance tools and equipment are fixed or replaced when necessary using proper PO procedure.
• Ensure that the maintenance facility and equipment are kept clean and organized at all times.
• May be required to assist with special projects or the general maintenance of any other Gallea Golf Properties property.
• Work with General Manager when putting together annual chemical, fertilizer and fungicide orders.
• Assist General Manager with developing a yearly maintenance budget.
• Responsible for meeting with General Manager on a weekly basis.  Daily if necessary.
• Operates various types of hand tools.
• May assist other workers.
• Must carry a valid driver’s license.
