Killearn Club is seeking a motivated Head Spray Technician to join their Agronomy team at a premiere private golf club in Tallahassee, FL. The club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole executive golf course designed by Chris Wilczynski. As the Head Spray Technician, you will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent with performing spray applications for a very loaded schedule. We have relatively new JD200 and JD300 spray rigs (2 years old) and a brand new 300-gallon GPS spray rig.
Job Duties:
- Produce fertilizer and pesticide applications, including calibration, mixing, application, and recordkeeping.
- Keeping storage organized and equipment cleaned properly
- Developing spray patterns for saturated or localized dry areas
- Spot spraying and maintaining weed pressure in beds
- Assist in delivering exceptional playing conditions throughout the property.

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of golf course maintenance experience preferred.
- Spray application experience preferred including understanding basic spraying principles and how to perform detailed mixing.
- Knowledge golf course operations.
- Florida pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain one within six months)
- Valid driver's license.
- Understanding of golf and etiquette
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Educational Requirements
- Associate degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred.
Salary Range
From $22 to $26 per hour
