Job Details
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
- Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
- Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers and irrigation system.
- Ensure that maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
- Procure supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.
- Keep records of annual maintenance activities and costs; prepare reports.
- Implement sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with government regulations.
- Ensure proper training and/or licenses are obtained to perform job tasks safely and within regulations; directly address environmental concerns.
- Stay current on agronomic information and oversee chemical and fertilizer mixing, calibration, and application.
- Provide leadership and foster teamwork, communication, ethical behavior, cleanliness, and a positive attitude.
- Develop, train, coach, discipline, and mentor staff.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years experience as a Head Superintendent
- Valid driver's license required.
- Pesticide license preferred.

Educational Requirements
• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science.

Salary Range
From $75,000 to $85,000 per year
