Pine Lakes Golf Club is looking for an experienced golf course maintenance / turf equipment technician.

Pine Lakes Golf Club is looking for a Full Time mechanic preferably with experience with Turf equipment or comensurate experience. Salary will be dependent on the level of experience you have with turf equipment specifically and/or the level of mechanical experience you have that can be applied to repairing our turf equipment.

Responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of Mowers, tractors, aerators, sprayers - gas and diesel engines as well as small equipment engines - weed wackers, blowers, edgers, chain saws, etc.

Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate maintenance work. Ability to work well independently or with others is essential.

Responsibilities include repair, daily maintenance, and preventive maintenance of all equipment. Applicant must have capability to diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot issues that arise with all of our turf equipment as needed. Competency in hydraulics, electrical and other shop trades are required.

Applicant must be a self-starter, motivated, a good communicator, maintain a positive attitude, be reliable, and organized. Ability to stay focused on the task at hand and not get side tracked is important.

Experience Requirements:

Must understand Greens, Tee, Rotary Deck and Reel Mowers, Tractors and Small Engine Repair. Solid knowledge of John Deere equipment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of small engine repair

Must be experienced in reel and bed knife grinding and setting cut heights or have the willingness to learn.

Min of 5 years Golf course mechanic experience or equivalent.

Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required.

Ability to inspect equipment and related component and order parts when approved. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

We are looking for a self-starter that can work well with managers and manage time efficiently when unsupervised. You will report directly to the course Superintendent and/or our retiring mechanic who has been doing this job for the last 9 years. Solid communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions is important.

Must be organized, efficient, detail oriented, and reliable.
