Spray Technician / Applicator Technician
Rockrimmon Country Club – Stamford, Connecticut
Rockrimmon Country Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spray Technician / Applicator Technician to join our agronomy team. This individual will be responsible for pesticide and fertilizer applications throughout the season on our 18-hole Robert Trent Jones championship golf course, and assist with maintenance tasks as needed during the workday.
Responsibilities:
• Apply golf course–approved pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform accurate calibration, operation, and maintenance of spray units, spreaders, and related equipment.
• Monitor turf and landscapes to identify pest pressures and treatment needs.
• Maintain detailed application records including products used, rates, and areas treated.
• Assist agronomy staff during non‑spraying periods.
• Support IPM program scouting and reporting.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Connecticut and New York Pesticide Applicator Licenses required or be able to obtain in a short period of time.
• Experience operating and maintaining turf spray equipment.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass pests, diseases, and weed identification.
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education:
• Turfgrass Management education preferred but not required.
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years chemical application experience.
• At least 1 year as Spray Technician or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
