2nd Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Second Assistant Superintendent or Assistant in Training to join our team.  This position is ideal for a recent Turfgrass Management graduate or seasoned grounds staff individual who wants to advance their career in the turf industry.  The ideal candidate will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent on a daily basis, learning all aspects of Turfgrass management, including but not limited to the following:

• Mowing
• Course set-up and assessment of playing conditions
• Plant protectant programming and application
• Water management and hand watering techniques
• Irrigation troubleshooting, repair and scheduling
• Cultural practices including aerification, topdressing, overseeding, and disease monitoring
• Record keeping and inventory tracking
• Training and mentoring staff
