Landscape Technician / Golf Course Landscaper

St. James Bay Golf Course

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Landscape Technician to maintain the aesthetic quality, health, and presentation of our landscape beds, clubhouse surroundings, and golf course features. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys physical outdoor work, and thrives in a professional resort environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance landscape beds through planting, transplanting, trimming, edging, and detailed grooming
• Apply mulch and pine straw with consistent depth and clean edges
• Apply granular fertilizer and pre-emergent using a walk behind spreader
• Spray total vegetation weed killer in ornamental beds without damaging desirable plants
• Hand weed areas where chemical control is not appropriate
• Edge landscape beds using a motorized edger
• Cut tee boxes in landscaped areas with clean, sharp lines
• Remove small shrubs and trees under 1" diameter
• Maintain and clean cart paths, removing excess sand and debris
• Maintain edges on sand traps
• Fill divots on tee boxes and fairways
• Operate trimmers, small chain saws, edgers, and similar equipment
• Hand water new sod and plant material as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of landscaping experience preferred
• Physically fit and able to routinely lift, carry, and position 80+ pounds
• Able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Nonsmoker
• Good driving record
• Must pass a background check, no DUI convictions and no criminal record
• Extremely detail oriented; takes pride in perfection
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to work a minimum of 5–6 days per week, starting at sunrise
