Parks & Recreation – Sports Fields Assistant Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and supervision, of daily maintenance operations with a primary focus on high quality soccer fields for the City of Opelika. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of a 7 man maintenance crew that has responsibilities all over the City of Opelika. This position is also responsible for all chemical and fertilizer application on sports fields as well as areas around town such as prominent parks and City Hall. The Assistant Superintendent is also an integral part in managing our fleet of Robotics. We have 12 Robotic Mowers throughout the city as well as the Tiny Mobile Robot that we use for striping fields.
