SOD SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Territory: San Antonio • Austin • South Texas
Position: Full-Time | Remote + Field Sales
Compensation: $60,000 Base Salary + Commission

About Dos Greengos Grass

Dos Greengos Grass is a South Texas sod farm supplying quality turfgrass for commercial, residential, landscape, construction, and agricultural projects throughout the region.

We're growing and looking for an experienced, motivated salesperson to help us expand our customer base throughout San Antonio, Austin, and South Texas.

This is not a desk sales position. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting out, meeting people, building relationships, finding opportunities, and turning those relationships into long-term customers.

Job Requirements

The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business and growing existing accounts throughout the assigned territory.

You will:

• Prospect and develop new commercial accounts
• Build relationships with landscape companies, homebuilders, contractors, developers, municipalities, golf courses, schools, sports facilities, and other high-volume sod customers
• Identify upcoming construction and landscaping projects that may require sod
• Make in-person sales calls throughout San Antonio, Austin, and South Texas
• Contact prospective customers by phone, email, and in person
• Follow up consistently with leads and prospective customers
• Prepare quotes and communicate pricing
• Maintain relationships with existing Dos Greengos Grass customers
• Identify opportunities to increase repeat and recurring business
• Track leads, opportunities, customer contacts, and follow-ups
• Maintain an active sales pipeline
• Communicate customer needs and upcoming orders with the Dos Greengos Grass team
• Represent Dos Greengos Grass professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
• Monitor competitors, pricing, construction activity, and market opportunities throughout the territory

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• A proven salesperson and relationship builder
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Comfortable prospecting and generating their own leads
• Persistent with follow-up without being pushy
• Organized and able to manage a large geographic territory
• Confident communicating with business owners, purchasing managers, contractors, superintendents, project managers, and other decision-makers
• Comfortable spending time on the road meeting customers
• Able to identify opportunities and turn new contacts into long-term accounts
• Results-driven and motivated by commission and growth

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred:

• Sod or turfgrass and Landscaping
• Sale Experience is highly recommended
• Construction
• Building materials
• Agriculture/Irrigation
• Nursery or landscape supply

Existing relationships within the landscaping, construction, homebuilding, or related industries in San Antonio, Austin, or South Texas are a major plus.

A college degree is not required. We're more interested in sales ability, work ethic, relationships, and results.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Sales Experiences
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer and technology skills
• Ability to maintain accurate customer and sales records
• Ability to work independently while staying in regular communication with our farm and management team

Compensation

$60,000 annual base salary + commission

This position is designed to reward growth. The right salesperson will have the opportunity to significantly increase total compensation by developing new accounts and growing sales throughout the territory.
