Position Overview
The Governor’s Club is seeking a detail‑oriented Spray Technician to support our agronomic program through precise and responsible application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and plant protectants. This role is critical to maintaining high‑quality playing conditions across our 18‑hole championship course.
Key Responsibilities
- Chemical & Fertilizer Applications — Safely apply fertility, pesticides and adjuviant products to Greens, Tees, Fairways, and Roughs
- Equipment Calibration -- Calibrate sprayers, spreaders, and injection systems to ensure accurate application rates
- Recordkeeping — Maintain detailed logs of all applications, product usage, and weather conditions
- Turf Scouting — Monitor turf health, identify disease pressure, insect activity, and nutrient deficiencies
- Equipment Maintenance — Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot spray equipment and application tools
- Inventory Management — Assist with chemical storage, organization, and ordering
- Collaboration — Work closely with the Superintendent and Assistants to plan application schedules
- Safety Compliance — Follow all federal, state, and club safety protocols

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
* Experience with chemical applications on golf courses or athletic fields.
Educational Requirements
* Preferred but not required; Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 2- or 4-year
degree/certificate program in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a
related field.
* A willingness to learn with a hard work ethic could be
considered.

Special Requirements
• TN pesticide license or ability to obtain within 90 days
