Valhalla Golf Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Equipment Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of the golf course equipment. The following provides a brief overview of responsibilities.
-Work closely with Equipment Manager and Golf Course Superintendent
-Assist with the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of all golf course maintenance equipment
-Perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and departmental schedules
-Sharpen, grind, and adjust reels and bedknives to maintain championship-quality cutting performance
-Daily inspection of equipment to ensure safe operation before use
-Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and calibration dictated by changing golf course conditions
-Communicate equipment issues with Equipment Manager and Golf Course Superintendent
-Follow all safety regulations and procedures with regard to OSHA and Club procedures
-Help maintain and organize a clean and safe equipment maintenance facility.

Job Requirements
-Technical or vocational school training in small engine repair, diesel technology, automotives technology, agricultural mechanics, or a related field is preferred
-An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be given consideration as well
-Welding and fabrication experience
-Turf equipment technician certification is a plus but no required
-Frequent standing, bending, kneeling and lifting is required
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Ability to safely operate equipment
-Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and potential holidays
