Assistant in Training

We're looking for a highly motivated person who wants to take the next step in their career and excel in the turf industry to be the assistant-in-training for a beautiful and scenic 18-hole course in a private community, located conveniently near the Canton/Akron area. Designed by Willy Park, and then later redesigned by Donald Ross, the course is part of a full-service club and is situated around a tranquil 200-acre kettle lake. As assistant-in-training, you'll work closely with superintendent and assistant superintendent in all aspects of daily course maintenance. 

 

You'll gain hands-on experience with team leadership and employee training; overseeing water management with our new rain bird irrigation system and newly purchased sizable package of Toro equipment, including two state-of-the-art GPS sprayers; and working with pesticide and fertilizer applications, among other opportunities.
