Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort is seeking a motivated, experienced, and team-oriented Assistant in training to join our golf course maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a turf professional who takes pride in maintaining high quality playing conditions and wants to grow their career in golf course management. The Assistant will work closely with the Superintendent and maintenance team to ensure the golf course, grounds, and surrounding landscape areas are maintained to a high standard.
The Assistant Superintendent will assist with the daily management and maintenance of the golf course, including turfgrass, irrigation, chemical applications, equipment and crew operations.
Key Responsibilities will include-
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent and other Assistants with the daily operation and maintenance of the golf course.
- Supervise, train, and motivate golf course maintenance staff as assigned.
- Help plan and execute daily and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Assist with mowing, trimming, aeration, topdressing, fertilization, overseeding, irrigation, and other turf-management practices.
- Monitor turfgrass health and playing conditions and communicate concerns to the Director of Agronomy.
- Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications in accordance with label requirements and applicable regulations.
- Operate and maintain a variety of golf course equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, maintenance activities, equipment use, and other operational information.
- Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Promote safe and a positive work environment.
- Work cooperatively with golf operations and other club departments to support the overall member/owner and guest experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Course Superintendent.

Job Requirements
2. Strong understanding of turfgrass maintenance practices
3. Ability to operate and safely maintain golf course equipment
4. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
5. Ability to work independently while also functioning in a team environment.
6. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance staff.
8. Valid driver's license in good standing.
9. Hand watering experience is a plus.

Salary Range
From $40 to $50 per year
