Job Details
- Assist the Director of Agronomy in managing daily course maintenance operations, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, aeration, pest control, and turf management.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
- Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to maintain optimal turf health and water conservation.
- Implement and follow best practices for turf management, including disease and pest prevention.
- Assist in planning and executing seasonal maintenance programs and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and club policies.
- Collaborate with course management and staff to improve course conditions and guest experience.
- Participate in staff training and development to promote a knowledgeable and motivated team.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Agronomy.

Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of horticulture, turf grass science, irrigation systems, and pest management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic computer skills required (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of the rules of golf preffered

Educational Requirements
- Proven experience in golf course maintenance or grounds keeping, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant role
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2-year turf degree (will consider long-term progressive experience in lieu of turf degree)
- Valid pesticide license or ability to obtain one upon hire (state-specific requirements)

Salary Range
From $100,000 to $115,000 per year
