Golf Course Superintendent
Job Details
The Golf Course Superintendent will lead the golf course maintenance operation and management of the golf course and grounds. Additionally, as an integral part of the management team, this position acts as a representative of the company while promoting the values of the organization.
The Golf Course Superintendent will direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, cart paths, roughs, and native areas. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team that has a passion for continual improvement when is comes to golf course agronomy. The individual is entrusted to maintain the high standards expected by our members and non-member play. The individual will need to be self-starting, energetic, and have the willingness to learn and grow as a turfgrass professional.

Job Requirements
• Supervise the crew, and assist with job scheduling and responsibilities.
• Effectively apply and record all chemical application used on the course in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise the safe use of all golf course equipment used by employees.
• In addition to employee supervision, individual would assist with preparation of tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, rough, native grass areas and edging of cart paths. This would also include the spray applications of fertilizers and pesticides using a boom sprayer.
• Ensures that the maintenance facility is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
• Ensure staff is adhering to safe working procedures established by the golf club. This also includes industry standards established by local, state, and federal guidelines which includes OSHA.
• Provide technical, operational, and safety training for employees as directed.
• It is preferred that the individual have some mechanical knowledge.
• Possess a BMP (best management practices) or obtain certification within 3 months of employment.
• Must have technical and working knowledge of maintenance equipment, products, and other resources related to golf course operations.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time.
