Westchester Country Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Golf Course Equipment Manager to lead the maintenance and repair of our golf course equipment fleet. The Equipment Manager is a vital member of the golf course maintenance team and works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair all golf course maintenance equipment, including diesel, gasoline, and electric-powered mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and small-engine equipment.
• Prioritize and schedule equipment repairs to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for the entire equipment fleet.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair histories, equipment inventory, and parts inventory.
• Manage the maintenance shop, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform daily reel maintenance, reel and bedknife grinding, sharpening, and precision mower setup to produce exceptional playing conditions.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain adequate inventories of repair parts, lubricants, and shop supplies.
• Communicate equipment needs, repair priorities, and monthly purchasing requirements with the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe operating condition and according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist in training maintenance staff on proper equipment operation, routine inspections, and safe work practices.
• Continuously improve shop organization, efficiency, and preventative maintenance procedures.
