Troon North Golf Club, known as the crown jewel of desert golf and a bucket list course for golfers from around the world, offers a wide variety of experiences and challenges. Troon North regularly hosts sanctioned golf events and this position is intended to train and develop you to become a well-versed agronomic expert and have the confidence to take the next step to have a property of your own as Superintendent while striving to provide a quality work/life balance so you can enjoy the many activities Scottsdale and its surrounding areas have to offer. The duties of the position are:
- Plan and participate in the daily setup of the golf course in a fast-paced environment
- Assess golf course conditions for irrigation scheduling and adjustments utilizing Rainbird and Toro
- Spray applications to greens, tees, and fairways
- Training and mentoring team members to maintain a high standard of excellence
- Identifying and correcting agronomic problems that may arise
- Scouting for turfgrass pests
- Developing plans for projects to improve playability and aesthetics of the golf course and surrounding landscape
- Upcoming projects include a new irrigation system, lake rebuild, bunker construction trials, and an Audubon case study.

Job Requirements
Strong work ethic with an emphasis on self-motivation
Ability to calculate fertilizer and pesticide rates
Knowledge of the rules of golf
Strong leadership qualities
AZ pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within 90 days
Salary Range
From $70,000 to $72,000 per year
