Job Details
Dallas Country Club, founded in 1896, is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent , to join our team effective immediately. An 18-hole private country club, DCC is the oldest private club in Texas and one of the most prestigious clubs in America (Platinum Club of America Top 150 Country Clubs). The Club is located within the community of Highland Park, Texas (4 miles north of downtown). Grass varieties include 007/tyee bentgrass greens, Stadium zoysiagrass tees, fairways and approaches, and 419 bermudagrass roughs. The course recently received a renovation: including the bunkers, sand cap and drain the fairways, and regrass the fairways, tees, and approaches to Stadium Zoysiagrass.
Responsibilities
- Assists the DOA, Superintendent and other Assistant Superintendents in the Scheduling, supervising and training golf course personnel (25+ crew members)
- Chemical and Fertilizer applications-perform various aspects of this area, applies chemicals and fertilizes on a regular basis, trains interns and staff on these practices, record keeping and monthly inventory updates
- Maintaining Bentgrass greens in a stressful southern climate
- Irrigation monitoring, programming and repairs
- Assists in maintaining equipment inventory, record keeping, helps prepare and track budgets, invoicing, forecasting for Greens department
- Be ready to handle all aspects of golf course maintenance, at all times, no matter what it takes

Job Requirements
Experience at a high-end facility is a plus
Bentgrass experience in a stressful southern environment
Ability to provide respectful and professional member service at all times
Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with a good attitude
Current Texas pesticide applicator license (or ability to attain one in ninety days)
