Position Overview:
River Valley Club seeks a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, operation, and overall condition of our golf course and practice facilities. Working closely with the Clubhouse Manager and the Greens Committee, the Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of playability, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship on our grounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the health and performance of all turfgrass, with a focus on bentgrass and Poa annua (or other relevant turf types).
- Supervise, hire, train, and schedule the grounds crew team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Operate and maintain the irrigation system, including the new Rainbird system, as well as the pump station.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all groundskeeping equipment.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed, ensuring compliance with all regulations (Pesticide Applicator License, or ability to obtain promptly, is required).
- Monitor and manage turfgrass diseases, pests, and water usage.
- Collaborate with the Clubhouse Manager and Greens Committee to develop and execute plans for course improvements, environmental sustainability, and exceptional playing conditions.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment for all staff.

Expertise in irrigation systems, turfgrass diseases, and equipment operation/maintenance.
