Maintenance Division Manager
Job Details
Texas Land Care is seeking a proven operations leader to direct the overall performance, growth, and long-term success of our Maintenance Division. This is not simply a field-production position. The Maintenance Division Manager owns the division's quality, people, financial results, client experience, systems, and strategic direction.
We specialize in the stewardship of complex, high-value residential landscapes throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our teams maintain world-class turf, curated gardens, specimen plant material, sophisticated irrigation systems, seasonal rotations, and highly detailed outdoor environments for discerning clients, elite custom home builders, and nationally recognized landscape architects.
WHY A GOLF COURSE LEADER MAY BE AN EXCEPTIONAL FIT
Successful golf course leaders already understand what this role demands: exacting standards, horticultural and agronomic judgment, labor planning, irrigation, budgeting, equipment, training, safety, weather-driven decision-making, and the responsibility of delivering a consistently exceptional property every day. This opportunity applies those strengths to a broader business leadership role with executive-level compensation and direct influence over an entire division.
We welcome candidates from high-end golf course operations, luxury landscape maintenance, estate management, or similarly demanding grounds environments. A specific title matters less than a demonstrated ability to lead people, manage financial performance, build systems, and uphold uncompromising quality.
THE ROLE
- Provide full operational and strategic leadership for the Maintenance Division, balancing daily execution with long-term growth and continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable Garden Managers, field leaders, and maintenance crews while building a strong culture of safety, communication, quality, and follow-through.
- Plan and manage division budgets; monitor contract performance, labor efficiency, job costing, billing, and overall financial health.
- Establish and implement horticultural, turf, irrigation, seasonal, and property-care standards across the division.
- Perform and oversee regular quality-control audits to ensure every property consistently meets Texas Land Care standards.
- Recruit, train, schedule, evaluate, and develop staff in partnership with the company's Learning and Development Manager.
- Maintain exceptional client satisfaction and retention while serving as an escalation point for complex operational or service issues.
- Support division growth by identifying, proposing, and selling new maintenance services and prospective maintenance accounts.
- Oversee division administration, including work-ticket review, scheduling, job costing, billing coordination, and operational reporting.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Clients experience consistent communication, reliable follow-through, and exceptional property quality.
- Garden Managers and crews operate with clear standards, strong accountability, and effective training.
- Maintenance contracts are actively managed for quality, efficiency, retention, and profitability.
- The division has disciplined systems, accurate operational information, and a clear plan for sustainable growth.
