Job Details
New Richmond Golf Club is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of the golf course maintenance fleet. This full-time position is responsible for implementing a preventative maintenance program, maintaining a clean and organized shop, and ensuring all equipment maintained and adjusted to produce exceptional playing conditions.
The Equipment Manager works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support the daily maintenance operation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all golf course maintenance equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drive components.
- Set up, adjust, sharpen, grind, and maintain reel and rotary mowing equipment to produce the highest quality of cut.
- Perform reel-to-bedknife adjustments, backlapping, grinding, and height-of-cut setup using industry best practices.
- Maintain service records, equipment inventory, and shop supplies.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Coordinate warranty repairs and vendor service as needed.
- Maintain the golf cart fleet and utility vehicles.
- Train staff on proper equipment operation, daily inspections, and preventative care.
- Assist with golf course improvement projects and other maintenance duties as needed.

Job Requirements
• Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication.
• Experience maintaining and setting up reel and rotary mowing equipment, including grinding, height-of-cut adjustments, and quality-of-cut diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and maintain a professional, organized work environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
