In addition to the information found on my resume that includes a Turf degree, Club House Management degree and a Pro Shop degree, I have held a Texas Pesticide and Arizona Pesticide license and confident that I would be able to obtain a Nebraska license as well if required. I am also a member of the GCSAA. I have worked as an Equipment Manager/ Assistant Superintendent, Interim Superintendent as a greenskeeper. Responding to the duties presented, I have held Managerial positions for many years and am familiar with budgeting, problem solving, employment, administrative duties, Microsoft Office, and always strive to continue my education.
I have experience with many different turf types including (greens) bent grass, bent grass/poa, burmudas, and (fairways/tees) Kentucky Blue grasses, and fescue. I have experience with several different irrigation systems and pump stations including Rainbird, Toro, and Hunter and their corresponding computer systems. I also know maintenance and repair of various brands of equipment consisting of John Deere, Toro, and Jacobson as well as larger equipment.
Scheduling of crew (ranging from 4 to over 30) has been my duty as well as insuring work completion to the high standards as warranted by high end private and semi-private Clubs. With that in mind I believe in the management style of "Inspect what you Expect".
I also have been involved in course renovation at 4 (including Billy Bunker installation at two of these) courses and start up at Lakota Canyon Ranch and Golf Club.
I had the pleasure and good fortune to have had mentors, including Mark Gorga, Bill Kostes and Scott MacBeath who all insisted on course detail, detail, detail, which has become my motto as well. I believe that the attention to detail and knowledge of budgeting is what sets me apart from other candidates.
I am at home on the golf course and take pride in what we can present to the membership every day.
