Job Details
Luling Sport is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to lead all aspects of equipment maintenance and shop operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the equipment maintenance facility, ensuring the equipment fleet is maintained according to manufacturer recommendations, managing the ESD water recycling system, and delivering exceptional playing conditions through a strong focus on cut quality and preventative maintenance. Equipment Manager will report to and work alongside the Equipment Director.
The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with extensive experience in turf equipment management who is committed to operational excellence, safety, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the equipment maintenance shop.
- Maintain the equipment fleet in accordance with manufacturer maintenance schedules and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain the ESD water recycling system to ensure proper operation, water quality, and environmental compliance.
- Prioritize equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and exceptional cut quality.
- Maintain, adjust, and rebuild cutting units to ensure peak performance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor assistant technicians and the Fleet Manager.
- Develop maintenance schedules and assign work priorities.
- Manage equipment parts inventory, including purchasing, organization, and inventory control.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and warranty work with vendors and manufacturers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist with equipment planning, budgeting, and replacement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience maintaining turf equipment and cutting units.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing maintenance schedules and shop operations.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of turf maintenance equipment.
- Certified Turf Equipment Manager (CTEM)
