Golf Course Mechanic

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Golf Course Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair golf course maintenance equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining an organized and efficient shop. Additional training will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair small engines, two-cycle engines, and turf maintenance and landscaping equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Identify mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Order replacement parts, maintain accurate parts inventory, and ensure necessary supplies are available.
• Manage the maintenance shop, including organization, cleanliness, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed to complete equipment repairs and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records using basic computer applications.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with other equipment maintenance duties as needed to support golf course operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience repairing small engines, two-cycle engines, and lawn care or turf maintenance equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain maintenance records and manage parts inventory.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain an organized workspace.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new skills and participate in additional training as needed.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on, on-site position based at the golf course maintenance facility. The mechanic will work in a shop environment and may be required to work outdoors as needed to service equipment.
