PENINSULA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB.  18-hole Donald Ross designed private club in San Mateo, just south of San Francisco. The club takes immense pride in their golf course and supports the maintenance department with a generous budget, state of the art equipment, 27 staff members and a 19,000 sq ft state of the art golf course maintenance center that was completed in 2016. We are currently in the process of updating our Golf Course Master Plan with architect Tyler Rae to enhance our current Donald Ross design from 1922. This project’s main objective is to replace key infrastructure items including the irrigation system, greens and bunkers. The candidate that is selected for this position will work closely with the Director of Agronomy on day-to-day operations and be an integral part of this project that could start as early as late 2027.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements
Candidate will direct and participate in all matters related to golf course management under the supervision of the Director of Agronomy. Position will require periodic OT and weekend supervision of staff as scheduled.

Desirable candidate will possess the following attributes-

 3-5 years in a lead Assistant role

 Plays and enjoys the game of golf.
Educational Requirements
Two/four year degree in related field, two or more years of relevant experience. California QAC or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
