Join our dedicated Parks and Recreation team and play a key role in maintaining and protecting our city’s diverse public landscapes. We are looking for skilled Irrigation Technicians who take pride in ensuring that parks, landscaped medians, and scenic preserve trailheads remain healthy, vibrant, and sustainable for our community.
In this essential position, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex irrigation systems across a variety of municipal landscapes. Your work will directly support water conservation efforts, landscape health, and the long-term care of our outdoor infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience in:

Assisting field teams with quickly diagnosing and troubleshooting irrigation system issues

Designing efficient irrigation systems for a wide range of landscaped environments

Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing multiple types and models of irrigation controllers

Performing maintenance and repairs on irrigation mainlines, control valves, and backflow prevention devices

Operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, small and large trenchers, and front-end loaders, along with hand tools to install and repair irrigation components

Conducting system audits, performance checks, and inspections to ensure optimal water coverage and responsible resource use

Working collaboratively with maintenance crews to support landscaping, turf care, and irrigation planning

Keeping accurate, timely documentation of repairs, inventory, controller programming, and system updates
