The sixth annual International Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day is just around the corner.
A day to recognize those who provide golfers worldwide with a place to play is scheduled for Sept. 8. This year’s event also coincides with the GCSAA’s 100th anniversary.
Global associations taking part in the day are GCSAA, the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association, the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association, the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association and the Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers Associations. These five organizations represent more than 31,000 golf course management professionals in 78 countries around the world.

Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day encourages golfers and others to recognize superintendents for their hard work and dedication to the game, whether on social media, in person or through other forms of appreciation.
Participants are encouraged to join the social media conversation throughout the month of September using #ThankASuper or #ThankAGreenkeeper.
Social media messages reached nearly 20 million followers worldwide during the 2025 International Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day campaign.
