Syngenta recently named Ryan Wyckoff as territory manager for the Pacific Northwest territory of its turf and ornamental division.
Wyckoff takes over the role previously occupied by Randy Rider, who recently retired after more than 30 years. In his new position, Wyckoff for sales initiatives in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
A former superintendent, Wyckoff earned a bachelor of science degree in horticulture/turf management from Oregon State University. He began his career as an assistant superintendent in Washington and California before returning to Oregon, where he spent 20 years as a head superintendent and general manager.
“Ryan brings the ideal combination of technical turf expertise, customer-first sales experience and strong regional relationships to this role,” said Frank Santiago, western district manager for Syngenta Professional Solutions.
His other experience is as Pacific Northwest territory manager for BASF’s turf and ornamental division.
Before joining Syngenta, Wyckoff built experience as a turf and ornamental territory manager for BASF in the Pacific Northwest. Based in McMinnville, Oregon, he has cultivated strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and is recognized as a trusted resource for product recommendations.
“Having spent my career working in turf from multiple perspectives,” Wyckoff said, “I understand how important it is for customers to have reliable products, practical guidance and a partner they can trust.”
