The world’s largest golf course management company just got a little bigger.
Troon, which manages nearly 600 golf facilities worldwide, including 400-plus in the United States, has acquired Bobby Jones Links.
An Atlanta-based club-management company, Bobby Jones Links was founded in 2000 with two properties and today manages 34 facilities in 13 states.
Under the new agreement, Bobby Jones Links will continue to operate under the Bobby Jones Links brand, but as part of the Troon. Bobby Jones co-founders Whitney Crouse and Steve Willy will continue in their roles as chief executive officer and chief operating officer, respectively.
Bobby Jones Links will maintain its Club Support Center in Atlanta. Members and guests of Bobby Jones Links-managed facilities will continue to experience the same outstanding service, course conditions, and food and beverage options.
The Bobby Jones Links acquisition expands Troon’s footprint in key markets and brings additional talent and resources under the Troon umbrella.
Founded in 1990, Scottsdale-based Troon is the world’s largest golf and golf-related hospitality management company, providing services at locations in more than 45 states and 40-plus countries. Since 2014, Troon has completed 15 company acquisitions, including 13 since 2018.
